Hackathon Hosts must be affiliated with a university organisation as either a student organisation or a university department or school. UNSW’s Founder Program and UNSW School of Art & Design has designed a Hackathon Guide which outlines a best practice guide for educators and student organisations to adapt for their own context.
Hackathon Hosts must register their contact details before the 8th October 2021 to participate and receive a Hack Pack which will include a series of videos prepared by the UNSW Sydney Founders Program and School of Art & Design, including keynote presentations and workshops. These resources can be provided to students in replacement of an on-campus workshop if needed.
The two minute video must present a solution to the problem statement:
How might we transform the way we communicate issues of climate change to diverse audiences in order to create positive action towards the regeneration of systems on individual, local and global scales? Solutions proposed must incorporate circular economy principles and identify a specific target audience.

The Hackathon Hosts then need to submit their best student 2 minute video entry via email to universitiesforclimate@unsw.edu.au before the 30th October to enter the global competition.
